General Admission Information
If you are wondering about how, you can get admitted to the Barber Academy here are the admission requirements for the 1800- and 1000-hour courses:
Prospective students must submit the following:
- Individuals on the Registered Sex Offender List are not eligible for a barber license in the state of Ohio and will not be accepted to the school.
- The minimum age requirement is 17 years and 1 month (must be 18 years of age to sit for licensing exam).
Prospective students must submit the following:
- Admission application and the $50 nonrefundable registration fee.
- Proof of at least an 8th grade education, copy of high school diploma, college transcripts or GED. Must be in English or translated to English.
- Valid State of Federal ID.
- Must be at least 17 years of age.
- Students accepted into the Barber for Licensed Cosmetologist 1000 Clock Hours Program must present a copy of their current Cosmetology license.
